Here i am
im here blessed beyond belief
beyond my understanding that someone like my could be blessed
beyond my comprehension
but thats because im not blessed cause who i am
God blesses from His grace
the limitless grace i'll never fully understand
maybe thats the most i ever will understand it, knowing i cant
but nevertheless im blessed.
so here i am praying that God, You'll give me the strength commitment and faith to live for You
to give You my life fully
to thank You in the only way i know how for Your grace, mercy and Your son.

Blessings

How many blessings do i have?
how many that i have not counted?
Each second i breathe
every sunrise and sunset i live through
every friend and family member
every broken heart
and healed cut
every smile as people pass by
every small thing and every large
guess it's time to give praise
and that praise can only go to the Father of Lights....
sometimes we may forget His abundant blessings
but with a smile He reminds us each and every day :)

Be grateful

Be grateful God is the perfect loving Father!
Because what you're doing would destroy almost any human heart,
almost any respect for you!
Don't forget even with God there are consequences..
Just be very grateful cause all of a sudden i am..
im no better than you but i'll acknowledge my faults and work at them
im trying to stop my wrongs, i regret them..
Be grateful God is forgiving cause you're pushing people away from Him!

My Shepherd

My shepherd i hear Your call
i hear You calling me back to the flock
i start on my way back but get caught on something or fall into a hole..
Only then do i cry back
only then do i plead with You to find me
and in spite of my selfish ways
my lack of understanding and my lack of care
You come and find me
gently untangle and lift me up to carry me home

How often

How often have we searched
how often have we looked
how often do we try to find that lost bit of us
how often is it we search everywhere it can't be found
how often do we turn to wrong things to make it right
how often do we turn away from the light
how often is it we play with God
how often is it we dont see the truth
how often do we just lose sight

Surviving

So looking back at the years gone by,
how on earth did we survive.
Heartache and pain have been abundant over the last few years,
but so has joy.
Watching children grow, teachs us so much of what we really need to know.
Be honest and loyal,
respectful and true
be kind and caring in everything you do.
Be faithful, be soft
laugh a lot and be yourself.
Have unfaltering faith
and true love.
cling tight to family and friends.
Try be your best, try bring others smiles.
The biggest thing a child knows that somehow we forget,
is that in helping others and bringing them joy,
you find joy and peace above all freedom.

To all the girls who have been hurt

Look back at the past
smile at your regrets

Living

We spend our lives walking down the same old streets
doing the same old stuff
trying to find some purpose some reason to live
then somewhere some discover God
He gives them more than a reason
He gives them a passion
a love for living the straight and narrow path..
Suddenly lives are changed
suddenly even when life is at its hardest they can smile
simply because God is awesome

Seeing Hearts

If we could see each others' hearts would we be shocked?
What intentions would we see?
Which of our friends would we run from
which would we hold and comfort
which would we look at and smile knowing they're ok?
Would we turn away from strangers like we so often do?
Would we change our ways and realise they are human to?
If we could see the hearts of those around us
would we change our own selfish ways?

or would we come to the same everyday conclusion?

Rocking To The Right Tune

So its near that time of year again for our youth. HOLIDAY CLUB!! and although everyone is super amped i cant help but wonder if everyone is rocking to the right tune.. wonder who's rocking to the gf or bf's tune... who's rocking to the gotta put the right image out there... and quite frankly who's rocking to Jesus' tune... Thing is no matter what tune they rocking to we all got together come together to form one song.. hopefully one that'll sing God's praise... so let's hope we can all start rocking to the right tunes to form a powerful song in 2009!!!

Those who this was written for will understand

Now these things remain faith hope and love and the greatest of these is love.
but when you say i love you
does it mean anything
does it hold true.
you dont intentionally hurt those you love.
you dont chase them away like a scavaging animal
you dont crush them like an annoying mosquito
you dont keep them like a donkey after a carrot on a string.
you are honest with them.
they mean the world to you.
you try treat them like Jesus would have
afterall God is love.
and no you wont always get it spot on
but you try treat them
with the respect and care they deserve.

This Night

Im sitting here in a room that seems empty but its not
im sitting here with God
trying to make sense of it all
trying to see what i've done
trying to figure out why innocent mature and nice is wrong
why guys dont want that
trying to figure out if i've made any difference this year
trying to work through it all
realising how tiny i am afterall
starting to see the big picture again
starting to wonder where He's gonna lead me
and wondering who He's gonna set on the journey with me

for their actions relating to you.
what if you were the one on the receiving end
wouldnt you just want the truth even if it hurts

relationships of any kind involve trust and communication
